Singapore Entry Visa

A Singapore entry visa is pre-entry permission to travel to, and seek entry at, a Singapore checkpoint. According to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), it is required only for nationals of certain listed countries — many nationalities are visa-free. Importantly, an entry visa is not a guarantee of entry and is separate from the immigration pass (such as a Short-Term Visit Pass) that an officer grants at the checkpoint, which is what actually sets your period of stay. Check whether you need an entry visa with the official ICA and Ministry of Foreign Affairs guidance.

Who is eligible?

  • Nationals of countries listed by ICA as requiring an entry visa
  • Travellers who are not eligible for visa-free entry to Singapore
