Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Kenya has replaced traditional visas with a mandatory Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). According to the Directorate of Immigration Services, every visitor โ€” including infants and children โ€” must have an approved eTA before travelling to Kenya, with the exception of citizens of East African Community (EAC) member states. You should apply only through the official Kenya eTA website at etakenya.go.ke or the official โ€œKenya Travel Authorisationโ€ mobile app. Confirm the current requirements for your nationality with the official guidance before you travel.

Who is eligible?

  • All visitors travelling to Kenya, including infants and children
  • Citizens of East African Community (EAC) member states are exempt from the eTA
