Ghana Visa on Arrival / Emergency Entry Visa

The Ghana Immigration Service issues a Visa on Arrival (Emergency Entry Visa) as a single-entry entry stamp granted on arrival, described by GIS as valid for a stay of up to 30 days. It is intended for people who could not obtain a visa in advance — for example where there is no nearby Ghanaian diplomatic mission, where travel is at short notice for a conference, business or an emergency, or where a Ghana-based sponsor applies on the traveller’s behalf. It is not a substitute for a visa where a nearby mission exists. Confirm your eligibility with the official Ghana Immigration Service guidance before you travel.
