China Q Visa (Family of Chinese Citizens and Permanent Residents)

The Q visa is for the family members of Chinese citizens and of foreigners who hold permanent residence in China. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Q1 visa is issued to family members applying for long-term residence (for example for family reunion), and the Q2 visa to relatives making a short visit. Applications are made through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center; confirm which category applies to you with the official guidance.
