Brazil Visitor Visa (VIVIS)
The Visitor Visa (VIVIS) is Brazil’s short-stay visa for travellers with no intention of residing in Brazil. According to the Ministério das Relações Exteriores, it covers stays of up to 90 days for purposes such as tourism, transit, business trips (including trade and industrial exhibitions), and unpaid participation in sports, artistic, scientific and academic events. The Ministry states that VIVIS holders are strictly forbidden to do paid work in Brazil, although they may receive prizes, allowances and artistic paychecks. Who is eligible?
- Travellers visiting Brazil for tourism, transit or business who require a visa (per the Ministério das Relações Exteriores)
